Made right here in sunny Nelson, Pics range of 'Really Good Stuff'.
There are up to two ingredients in Pic's Peanut Butter. Peanuts, and sea salt. You always get the peanuts, the salt you get if your jar doesn’t say NO SALT. Pic likes a bit of salt – he feels it keeps the arteries from going floppy. Not that we add a lot of salt – Pic’s typically contains about half as much as the ordinary stuff.
Pic’s Almond Butter contains only almonds, not even a bit of salt to make them go further. The little bit of almond butter Pic's made, built up such a following that they had to buy all the South Australian almonds they could get there hands on. Unfortunately, that’s not very much, so if you spot a jar of Pic’s Almond Butter, buy it. It’s rare and it’s absolutely delicious.
Pics don’t add anything to their Cashew Butter and they recommend you keep it on the top shelf away from the kids. It’s more than just moreish and just a teaspoon of it squashes that voice in your head that demands sweet satisfaction.
Made from the first crush of Australia’s unique hi-oleic peanuts - the very same fresh tasty nuts use in Pic's peanut butter - no scraps from the floor for their oil, Pic’s Peanut Oil is full of flavor, natural antioxidants and is low in cholesterol.
What are the peanut butter makers doing messing around with berries?? Making jam, that's what - but we don't call it jam because it hasn't got enough sugar. What it has got though, is boysenberries. Pic's Boysenberry Jelly contains Boysenberries (locally grown in Nelson) 55%, cane sugar; lemon concentrate, pectin.
